YEMISI GBAJOBA - AUTOBIOGRAPHY

              

Yemisi Afonja, also Known as Yemisi Gbajoba is a Nigerian well known gospel 

singer, music composer, Administrator and Actress.

Yemisi Gbajoba was born on the 14th of August 1975 in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria into the Family pa Josiah Awoyemi and Madam Modupe Awoyemi. Yemisi gbajoba who hails from imesi-ile in Osun State, Nigeria was the only daughter out of the six children in the family. Yemisi Gbajoba has two sons, Afonja isreal ( popularly known as Kida Graphics) and Afonja peace (Celebrity dancer known as Aza­­_oxygen).

EARLY LIFE

Yemisi Gbajoba who has been a singer at very tender age was a member of the children choir of Christ Apostolic Church, Odo-ona Ibadan. She later joined the church choir where she sang for many  years and later joined Dare Adedeji of christolite band after which she started her own Gospel music career.

EDUCATION

Yemisi Afonja started her primary education at the Christ the King primary school, Odo ona, Ibadan and Proceeded to Odo Ona Girls Grammar School Ibadan where she obatained her West African School Certificate (WAEC) in 1993. In quest for more knowledge she Proceeded to saint- Andrews College of Education now Emmanuel Alayande College of Education Oyo, where she obatained her Nigerian Certificate in Education in Fine and Applied Arts. Then later studied Educational Guidiance and Counselling at Ekiti State universty where she obtained her Bachelors Degree.

CAREER

Yemisi Gbajoba who started her working experience as a clerical officer at Federal college of Agriculture, Moore plantation Ibadan in 1995 and then she later moved to Bright Star Nursrey and primary School Oyo, where she worked as a Teacher and later had the oppurtunity to works at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education Oyo as a clerical officer but now an Administrator in the same college.

Yemisi Gbajoba has worked so hard to be recognised in the Nigerian Gospel music Industry. Gbajoba who has released many Gospel songs both Albums and Singles had been seen time without numbers with so many Nigerian Celebrities, Gospel singers with the likes of Bola Are, Tope Alabi, Monique, Yinka Ayefele,Yetunde Are, Esther Igbekele,  Mike Abdul, Bisi Alawiye, Baba ayewa, Bukola Akinade, Goke bajowa, Moji Alawiye, Big Bolaji, Babatumise and many more.

Yemisi Gbajoba is not left behind performing with the Nigerian pastors such as Pastor E.A Adeboye (RCCG General overseer) Rev Dr Supo Ayokunle (Nigerian CAN President) Prophet Eziekiah Oladeji ( CAC world Evangelist) Rev Dr Ayo Oristejafor (Former CAN President) Arc Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu and lots more.
